The Lithuania low cost airlines guide
is a resource for independent travellers
looking for low cost, no-frills or cheap flights
into and out of Lithuania...

The following airlines provide low fare flights to and from Lithuania. Click on the name of each airline for full details on where that carrier flies.
Vilnius serves as the Latvian carrier Air Baltic's second hub. So, in addition to providing low cost regional flights from Vilnius to Tallinn in Estonia and Riga in Latvia, Air Baltic also connects the Lithuanian capital to Helsinki in Finland, Vienna in Austria, Berlin, Munich and Hamburg in Germany, Copenhagen in Denmark, Oslo in Norway, Dublin in Ireland and London in the UK.
While Air Baltic offers budget-priced web fares, it still can't really compete on price with the low cost carriers. If you're looking for a cheap one-way flight to the UK, consider flying to London with Ryanair or Wizz Air from Kaunas instead. [ Route Map ]

As ever, BA's low fares are only available if you're planning to commence your journey in the UK and fly in both directions. If that suits your plans though, you can find flights from London Gatwick to Vilnius and back for £52.50 including taxes each way. If you're looking to spend less or fly in just one direction, check out Air Baltic's one-way fares or consider flying with Ryanair or Wizz Air from Kaunas instead. [ Route Map ]

This Estonian airline operates a simple budget-priced airlink between Vilnius and Tallinn for the local currency equivalent of around €70 including taxes. The Estonian Air website has an excellent booking engine to help you find the cheapest flights.
It's worth comparing Estonian Air against Latvian competitor Air Baltic at any given time to see which one is offering the cheapest fare between Lithuania and Estonia. [ Route Map ]

The European low cost giant Ryanair connects Lithuania's second city, Kaunas, to London Stansted airport in the UK. Ryanair's airfares are predictably competitive and generally cheaper than Air Baltic's one-way fares between London and Vilnius or BA's return fares from the UK to Lithuania. [ Route Map ]

The SAS no-frills airline Snowflake flies two low cost routes from Vilnius to Stockholm Arlanda and Copenhagen and a third route from Palanga on Lithuania's coast to Copenhagen.
If you are looking for a cheap flight from Vilnius to Copenhagen, bear in mind that Air Baltic might be a cheaper option than Snowflake. [ Route Map ]

A small Swedish carrier which operates low cost flights across the Baltic from Palanga to the eastern coast of Sweden - to Ronneby or via Ronneby to Stockholm Bromma.
If you're aiming for southern Sweden, Stockholms Planet's route to Ronneby is a reasonable option, but if you're flying to Stockholm, consider taking a cheaper flight from Vilnius with Snowflake. [ Route Map ]

The Central European airline Wizz Air operates a single connection from Kaunas in Lithuania to Warsaw in neighbouring Poland.
But - unusually for point-to-point no-frills airlines - the carrier then also operates onward connections from Warsaw to destinations in Sweden, Germany, France and the UK for passengers arriving from Kaunas. You can purchase itineraries such as Kaunas - Warsaw - Stockholm Skavsta from the Wizz Air website without going through the hassle of trying to find flight times which tie up. [ Route Map ]
