Hawaiian Low Cost Airlinego! Express, the subsidiary of Mesa's go! adds a few more low fare inter-island connections (and one intra-island connection) to those already offered by its big brother.
Incredibly, the cheapest flights offered by go! Express - across western Maui from Kahului to Kapalua - come to just under $15, though, quite frankly, if you're not renting a car, you might want to consider the environment and take the bus instead.

The airline boldly promises one-way fares of US$29 on every seat on every flight, but once you include taxes the one way fares usually come out at US$35-40.

USA Low Fare AirlineUS Airways claims to be the largest low fare airline in the world and yet its one-way fares are more expensive than its round-trip fares.
So the fares are not very low at all, in reality.
If you're happy to fly in both directions, starting your journey either from Hawaii or from the USA mainland, you can find reasonable round-trip fares.
But we're still not convinced they can be classified as low fares.
