If you are looking to fly the very cheapest round-trip from London to Tbilisi and back then note that bmi does not match Air Baltic's fares. Nevertheless, bmi is the cheapest direct round-trip operator. As a quick comparison:

bmi's cheapest direct round-trip fare: £469 including taxes.

Air Baltic's cheapest indirect round-trip fare: £312 including taxes.

The £157 fare difference suggests that even if you end up booking some budget accommodation in Riga - and, unless you opt to go clubbing all night, you'll need at least one night's worth of accommodation on your stop-over in Riga on the way to Georgia - you'll probably still end up saving money on Air Baltic.

For direct round-trip flights though, bmi has the cheapest fares.

geruxx is the successor to Germania Express (or GEXX).

The airline is not operating any cheap, fixed-fare flights to Tbilisi from German cities at present, though it's possible that one-way budget flights to the Georgian capital from Cologne Bonn or other German airports will restart in 2008.
