Yes, you really can fly from mainland Europe to Egypt for around €58 including taxes on Condor's short-haul tariff. These are the cheapest flights to Egypt from north of the Mediterranean bar none. The catch, of course, is that these incredibly-priced flights are often only available as one leg of a return flight - and the other leg will cost you much more.

If you only want to fly one-way or no special offer flights appear to be available, Condor still offers one-way flights to Egypt for fares well under €200. Compare with Air Berlin to secure the best deal.

TUI's UK budget airline operates return flights from regional airports across the UK to as many as five Egyptian destinations: Sharm el Sheikh, Luxor, Marsa Alam, Hurghada and Taba.

Thomson Fly's most frequent flights to Egypt are on the routes connecting London Gatwick and Manchester to Sharm el Sheik.
