Do I have to become a member?

No, you don't. If you travel - or if you're planning to - that's good enough for us. You don't need to subscribe to the newsletter if you don't want to and of course, even if you do, the letter itself and the member password - which allows you to access the complete site - are both completely free.

More than simply providing information and resources, we're doing our best to promote independent travel writers on the internet. If you want to see your own travel writing or photography published under your name (and maintain the copyright on your work), you're more than welcome to contribute.

For examples, look at Max Donelly's articles on Poland or Marilyn Goh's articles on Singapore.

attitude Travel started development when the web was less about annoying pop-up windows, pay-as-you-go premium content and profit-dictated design and more about fast, free, friendly and useful information exchange. We'd like this part of the internet to stay that way.
