The first low fare flights to Armenia did not arrive from Europe, but from the Persian Gulf.

The leading Middle Eastern budget carrier, Air Arabia, now connects Yerevan, the Armenian capital, to the United Arab Emirates for a cheapest fare of 471 AED or €103 including taxes.

Conveniently, Air Arabia also offers Combined Flights - the no-frills equivalent of connecting flights - where individual point-to-point flights are operated close enough together that it's almost like taking a connecting flight. UK Low Fare Airline

It's not really in the same class as the other airlines listed on this page, but bmi does offer the cheapest direct round-trip fares from London to Yerevan of any UK-based airline.

That said, you can save a lot on bmi's lowest round-trip fare of £453 including taxes, simply by flying indirectly on Air Baltic instead.

Air Baltic (see above) flies from London Gatwick to Riga in Latvia and then on to Yerevan and has a cheapest round trip fare of £286 including taxes. Even if you don't want to completely rough it and decide to throw in two lots of budget accommodation during your overnight stays in Riga, that still adds up to well over £100 saved.

If we can't convince you and you do still want to fly direct from London to Yerevan and back, bmi is your cheapest option.
